Many of the magazine posts (listed under the Press section above) contained small, badly scanned photos – making them hard to view. They have all been rescanned and are now bigger and clearer. Besides additional links to pictures of my house, the Home Décor section now includes a new category called “Inspirations.” This area will incorporate posts similar in content to my recent “Seven Ways to Add Vintage Charm to Your Home” article. Home Décor is also where you will find budget, holiday and seasonal decorating ideas as well as outdoor spaces.

Finally, the Tutorial section continues to evolve. A few new tutorials, which somehow I missed earlier, have now been added – including the very popular “How to make a curtain from a vintage feedsack.” Future plans include organizing the tutorials into categories to make this area more user-friendly. As I have not posted a tutorial in a while, I am also working on instructions for sewing curtains with lining, how to hang curtains, as well as a fun spring tabletop idea. Look for these soon!

I love this article. I've been fiddling with my blog- and honestly, I would like to use the 'pages' widget a little better.
I like how you did your pages and 'outlined' each one.
Keeps everything on the blog tidy and easy to find.
I hope to use some of these ideas better. Thanks for posting this.
Maybe a tutorial on using the widget 'PAGES' ? Perhaps?

I gotta tell you, Stacy, I just went through your Press, finally, and I can't believe it is your home that I have drooled over in magazines! I knew about your basement, but I remember those check drapes from some time ago -- how I loved them and still do. I also adore the shower curtain in the basement bath. As a sewing nut, I have such appreciation for the things you've done in your home and it is so lovely and warm. Just wanted you to know that all of your detail, care and time does not go unnoticed! I absorb all of it :)
am i the only one completely upset by the 'color' of the year? didn't anyone grow up with REAL honeysuckles..they're a BEAUTIFUL golden honey YELLOW. not pink. every time i see a blog post with the color of the year for this year i feel like i'm going to run around the room ripping my hair out. that being said..you did do an amazing job with the pink color! but you always do a great job decorating!

Just came across your site today and really appreciate the tutorials. Having recently moved from Arizona back home to Ohio I look forward to doing some second-hand shopping and repurposing items to get great looks like the ones you have.
