Better homes and Gardens recently republished their special interest publication “100 Decorating Ideas – Big Style for Small Rooms.” So in case you missed it the first time around in August of 2010, here it is again.
My basement entrance is idea number eighty-six.

The original story (shown below) about my basement remodel appeared in the July 2009 edition of Better Homes and Gardens – although the entrance picture included me in the photo. This article also featured pictures of the sitting area, play area and small space under the steps.

ReplyDeleteHow fun to be featured BHG -- your basement renovation is so servicable. Love the bench with the baskets for the shoes -- and of course I love the green. Joni
ReplyDeleteI am so glad they ran this story again, I think it is one of the cleverest (is that a word?) ways to finish out a basement I have ever seen. I look at it often and study all the details that you put into it! Thanks for sharing it with us again!

ReplyDeleteI still have the original issue that your basement was in....awhile back when I started lurking on decor blogs I found yours and was almost dumbfounded that you were the person who did that basement...I kept the original issue because that basement was so inspirational. To funny you mention this today, because I don't think I would have ever told you this unless you brought it up...Congrats on the rerun!

ReplyDeleteSo neat! Your basement is beautiful, can you share what kind of paint you used on the floors. We are going to paint ours as well, and not sure the right way to go about it.
ReplyDeleteWe used Behr heavy duty garage and concrete floor paint added Behr non-skid floor finish additive. It has held up very well and I am pleased with how it looks. Thanks for the question.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am STILL madly in love with every aspect of this room! You deserve the feature!
ReplyDeleterecommended this idea {for setting off a foyer} to a client, yet AGAIN!
