You can trim rosemary into a hedge, or just use as a ground cover. They can all tolerate the heat and dryness: we too have a south facing slope and all these are doing well!Libby https://www.blogger.com/profile/11556491482494737313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7780084414817956315.post-44568551267222044552012-03-22T20:54:20.373-07:002012-03-22T20:54:20.373-07:00I got a new sewing machine too...not so nice as yo...I got a new sewing machine too...not so nice as yours, but I am very new to sewing so I needed to start small. I recently came across a yellow variety of lavender and a beautiful white variety. I'd vote for the white for your hill. It would look great with your house, looks very cottagey, and it's different. It's not your every day lavender lavender. (Kind of feels strange to talk about lavender lavender vs. white lavender.)

Becca
homeiswheremystorybegins.comBecca Rosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08848398486925857953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7780084414817956315.post-72015899148984045972012-03-22T08:11:35.495-07:002012-03-22T08:11:35.495-07:00Congrats on the publishing! It's something I've been wanting to learn more about and just haven't had the time, but it would be great to be able to whip up a few pillows when I had time with it. I think I've just added another one to consider to our laundry room/garage entrance. : ) No windows or natural light here, so I want to go as light as possible.

Daylilies are always nice and they spread, {they also come in colors besides orange}; they are also good in areas where you have a mound type of ground area and are good for erosion. You'd probably want to put things in with different bloom times so there is always something.Kathy @ Creative Home Expressionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01341667486449125153noreply@blogger.com
